Baptism FAQ

Why should I get baptized?

After being born-again, we are commanded to follow Jesus into the waters of baptism (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:16, Acts 10:47, 48). Baptism represents what has happened to us spiritually. We died to our old selves, and have been raised to a new life in Christ Jesus (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17)  Baptism is our public declaration that we are saved and belong to Christ!

How should I be baptized?

ALC believes in full immersion baptism. This is how we see people were baptized in the Bible, including Jesus Himself (Matthew 3:13-17)

When should I be baptized?

Baptism should follow salvation (Acts 2:38) We baptize people any chance we get at ALC! Almost every Sunday has a baptism included in the service. To be baptized, please fill out the form below to learn what steps you need to take next!

Can my children be baptized?

At ALC, we wait until our children are old enough to make a decision for Christ on their own and understand the true meaning of baptism. We do not believe in infant baptism due to the child's inability to understand the meaning of it. The biblical purpose of baptism is to publicly profess your personal commitment to Jesus Christ.
